PROHIBITION QUESTION.
PLEBISCITE IN SWEDEN. COPENHAGEN, Aug. 28. The provisional figures of the .Swedish plebiscite are: l*'or prohibition, 772,i47; against, 846,536. The latest returns seem to indicate that prohibitionists lost the day among the principal centres. Stockholm polled 21,906 votes for and 138,300 against; Gothenberg, 19,603 for and 51,487 against.—
