The Wanganui-Manawatu representative game was played at Wanganui on Saturday in tine weather. Wanganui had the better of the game and won by 10 points to 5. On Saturday West Coast reps, defeated Buffer reps, by 5 points to 3; Otago defeated Hawke’s Bay (at Dunedin) by 11 to 8; Auckland defeated Taranaki at New Plymouth by 13 points to 3; and Southland walked over Canterbury by 33 points to 11. At a League football match at Marriekville, Sydney, the ci'owd chased the referee off the field and besieged the pavilion where he had locked himself in until the police arrived and escorted him from the ground.
