BIG POLITICAL GATHERING
BANQUET TO MR ED. NEWMAN, M.P. The valedictory banquet to be tendered Mr Ed. Newman, M.P., on Monday next, promises to be 'the largest political gathering yet held in this 1 constituency. The banquet will be held in the Masonic Hall at 6 p.m. and the speeches will be made in the Town Hall at 8 p.m. Among those who will be present to do honour to the guest will be the Prime Minister, members of Cabinet and M.’sP. The dress circle of the Town Hall will be reserved for ladies and their escorts.
Tickets for the banquet may he obtained at the Herald Office or from Mr Geo. Coley.
