PARLIAMENT
THIS WEEK’S BUSINESS
Though there is likely to be much talk, the House of Representatives should make a good start this week upon the'big business of the session (says the Post). The Licensing Committee’s report, will occupy one afternoon, possibly two; but it is not expeeted to prove of great interest, as there is no prospective legislation this session to give point to it. Then there Is the Traffic Treaty, concerning which, many members will wish to .speak. The debate will commence on Thursday. There are several Bills on the order paper, and others are now under consideration by select committees. .One Bill which is unimportant in it>elf, but is likely to lead to interesting discussion, is the Naval Defence Amendment Bill. On it members will have the opportunity of discussing our contribution to naval co-opera-tion with Australia.
