HELP MOUTOA
TO BUILD A HALL
Foxton is to be visited on Thursday, August 10th, by a clever company of singers called the “Moutoa Merry-Makers.” Their entertainment is a novel one in every way. Besides the soloists, who are this district’s brightest and best, there is a strong chorus of 40 voices. The costuming and general colour effects have all been carefully planned and will please the most fastidious, while the songs are all bright, breezy, cacthy and up-to-date. This entertainment is well worth seeing as it is some years since Foxton has had entertainment of this variety. There are items to please all tastes —comedy—ragtime—patriotic, etc. A tableau crowned by the figure of Peace will be a feature of the setting. The cabaret scene will be gay and attractive and Community singing is being introduced into Foxton for the first time. There is not a “dud” item in the whole performance. The proceeds are in aid of a Hall at Moutoa, where the need of a suitable place is greatly felt.
