It is satisfactory to know the improvement to the River through the Harbour Board’s dredging operations has been confirmed, not only by soundings taken at various times at points dredged which had been a trouble prior to the work being taken in hand, but by the fact that the s.s. Kennedy, under the charge of Captain Rodgers, being able to make three trips to the port, in and out, within six days. We congratulate the Board on its success so far.
