DEBATE ENDED. LABOUR AMENDMENT HEAYftY • DEFEATED. Yesterday fn Parliament marked the cml of the long debate on the A ddress - in - R eply. When the session opened it was not expected the debate would last long, but it dragged out for three weeks. The amendment moved by the Leader of the Labour Party was voted ;on shortly before 10 p.m., and was defeated by>43 votes to 9.
