FOXTON HORTICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

A Committed meeting of the above was held in Ross’ Buildings on Thursday night, there being a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Horn blow and Owen, Mrs Procter and Miss Speirs. ... The president and secretary (Messrs Rev. Walton and H. Frankland) briefly thanked the Association for tlieir election.

On the motion of Messrs Jno. Ross and Nye, i| was decided that the Spring Show be held on Friday, 15th September. It was decided on the motion of Mesdames McMurray and Moore that last- year’s schedule be adopted for this year’s show.

The following are to be asked to judge the various sections: —Mr A. Gibson, Murton; Mr Frank Mason, Feilding; Airs Imrie, Palmerston North; Mr A. E. Whitehead. Palmerston North. In the event of there being a difficulty in obtaining judges, a subcommittee compi'ising Mrs McMurray, Mrs Moore, president and secretary was set up to deal with ihe matter.

The following clause will be added to Entry No. G 8 in Schedule re Otitzens’ Trophy: “Exhibitors to be confined to those residing within a radius of nine miles of Foxton.” Various matters of detail were dealt with, and the next meeting of Committee was fixed for August 31.
