ROYAL PICTURES.

Allan Divan’s “A Perfect Crime,” an Associated Producers’ feature, combine the three most enjoyable ingredients the drama knows —keen suspense, brilliant humour and pathos. The picture appears at the Royal to-night. The star, Monte Blue, has the role of Wally Griggs, a timid hank messenger whom everyone despises for his stupidity. Suddenly Wally, the worm, turns. He begins to lie. He tells magnificent and thrilling yarns about things which never happened on land or sea. Ills ridiculous yarns are published and he vans a beautiful girl who had ignored him in his honest days. The story is as pathetic in spots as it is amusing in others. Also a Snooky comedy and “Winners of the West.”

On Monday a programme extraordinary will be shown, the first feature of which is Alice Lake in “Over the Wire,”—a Wesley Ruggles production for Metro. Strong hale that in the crucible of emotion turns to love is the underlying theme of this remarkable picture. In addition the beautiful song picture, “Eileen Alannali,” and New Zealand’.- own star, Isobel Wilford, in “Fair Fighting.” will he shown. There will be no advance in prices on Monday night.
