FIRE BOARD.
Captain Hugo, superintendent of Fire Brigades, visited Foxton yesterday and conferred with local members of the Fire Board. The estimates of capital expenditureand maintenance for the current year was carefully gone into and the proposed sites for a fire station inspected. Captain Hugo subsequently inspected the existing plant, upon which a valuation is to he made before being taken over by the Board.
