LAST NIGHT’S BALL.

Despite the very unpleasant weather, there was a good attendance at the Ball held last evening in the Town Hall, under the auspices of St Mary’s Church. The floor which’ was in charge of Mr L. C. Bryant, was in splendid order. The hall and also the supper-room where a delicious supper was served were both tastefully decorated by the ladies’ committee. Larkins Jazz Band played excellent music which was enjoyed by the dancers as well as numerous on-lookers in the gallery. Altogether a very pleasant evening was spent by all who attended. -The committee wish to specially. thank Mrs Walls of the Mou.toa Tea Rooms, for the loan of table ware, etc.
