TOWN HALL PICTURES

To-morrow night Gloria Swanson will be seen at the Town Hall in the adaptation of “The Shulamite” a book that is world read by all. “Under the Lash” takes the audience to the real South Africa as colonised by the Boers. Some striking scenes are portrayed, not the least being- the terrific thunderstorm' which so nearly has a tragic sequel. One sentence in the story catches the eye and on these few words a great deal hangs. The young wife in a moment of anguish exclaims “Not yet —I am it new toy — bill later —I shall be broken and beaten —like all other Boer wives.” Usual prices.
