FIRE BOARD
COUNCIL APPOINTS ITS REPRESENTATIVES. At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council ’ a ballot for the election of three Councillors to represent- it on the Fire Board was taken and the followinjr were successful*': —The Mayor, and Crs Bryant and Smith. It was also decided'to procure a further 100 ft of hose for the Brigade. In order to constitute the Board the insurance companies have yet to appoint three representatives and the Government one, These appointments will be made at an early date and the Board will then take over the brigade and administration of tire prevention methods.
