ROYAL PICTURES.
: -- Nearly every screen star of note has some slogan mare or less descriptive of Jus or her qualities. In the majority of cases these words or phrases have been coined or originated by the publicity department of the producing company ex-f plotting the star. In a few cases the descriptive expressions came from 'the critics or from the public. The latter ease is one with Harry ' Carey, the popular Universal star, who has been, dubbed “Human” Harry Oarey 1 by so many reviewers and so many admirers that the adjective has almost become a part of his name. Hundreds of fan letters come to the star every week addressed “Human” Carey, and almost every criticism of his screen . work bears some reference to the human qualities of his work. In Carey’s latest photodrama, “The Wallop,” from a story by Eugene Manlove Rhodes, the Ace of the Saddle has an opportunity to b,e “humanner” than ever. Probably it is because both author and actor are so thoroughly familar with thtfunfenoed West 'territory of the story, with Hie characters that infest the deaeirt regions far from the railroads and city {dumbing, tha star's portrayal of i be role of John Wesley Pringic, “adventurer at large,” is such a wholesome and appealing masterpiece. This fascinating picture will, be screened at the Royal Theatre on Wednesday night. Extra the “Lure of the Circus.”
