CORRESPONDENCE
To the Editor
Sir, —In the report of the Borough Council meeting, Cr. Martin said that the cost of living had not been reduced in Foxton. I take it, sir, that this is a reflection upon Foxton tradespeople and should be contradicted. I happen to know that there has been a considerable drop in many of the lines in daily consumption and some lines bought at prices before the drop have been sold at a loss to the seller. If Cr. Marlin will look over his invoices of iwelve months back and compare them with to-day’s prices he wilksee that there has been a considerable drop in prices in Foxton. lam etc., FAIR PLAY.
