SCHOOL PICNIC.
ASHHURST DOMAIN WEDNESDAY. ' The annual school excursion and picnic on the Ashhurst Domain will take place on. Wednesday next. The train will leave Foxton at f.fiO a.m., and 'arrive at Ashhurst at 10.5 a.m., and will leave, on the return journey at 4.50 p.m., arriving Foxton at 7.15 p.m. The excursion fares are: Children Is Gd, senior scholars 2s, adults 3s. The children, will be entered for with the same liberality as in the past, and parents will be supplied with hot water and milk free of charge. Tickets may be obtained on application to the headmaster, or on the train. Should the weather be unfavourable, the children will be entertained locally. The local business people will observe a holiday, in order to join in .the outing, and provided the weather is fine, it is anticipated that there will be a record attendance at. the picnic. The catering will be in the bands of Mr J. Walls, which is a sufficient guarantee that the kiddies will be well looked after in this respect. The teaching staff will supervise a programme which should keep old and young interested and amused.
