WEDDING.

HONORE—SIGNAL. A wedding which created a good deal of local interest was celebrated at the local Methodist Church yesterday afternoon, by the Rev. L. Minifie, before a crowded congregation, when Mr James Garnet, youngest son of the late Mr Christian and Mrs Honore, was'united to Lillias, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wm. Signal, all of Foxton. The interior of the church was artistically decorated by friends of the bride, and above the bridal party was suspended a white floral bell. The bride, who was given- away by her father, looked charming in a dress of eire lace and pailette satin, the lace skirt being arranged over pale pink net, with hand-embroidered panels. The court train of pailette satin lined with pale pink georgette, was -fastened on the shoulders with pearls. The veil was arranged coronet fashion. The bride carried a shower bouquet of cactus dahlias, roses, gypsophila and -asparagus fern, with streamers of pink areophane. The bridesmaid, Miss Honore, sister of the bridegroom, looked dainty in a frock of shell pink georgette over ninon, the skirt being scalloped and trimmed with wreaths of tiny pink rosebuds, the soft swathed sash being finished at the side with georgette roses. The hat was of powder blue tulle and gold, and she carried a bouquet of delphinium and hydrange to tone. Two, little girls, Frances Honore, niece of_ the bridegroom, and Joan Cowley, who officiated as train bearers, wore frilled frocks of pale blue and maize georgette, respectively, and wore mob 'caps finished with' tiny pink rosebuds".' They wore gold brooches set with amethysts, and''carried posies of flowers.

Mr W. Signal, brother of the bride, officiated as best man.

The bride’s mother wore a frock of. nigger . brown erepe-de-chenc. the panels being hand-embroidhred in rose and brown. A toque of nigger brown trimmed with rose grapes and autumn tints, and carried ‘a bouquet of dahlias and gypsophila.. The bridegroom’s mother wore a black crepe-de-chene costume, with marabout stole. . Her black plumed hat was relieved with a touch of violet, and she carried a bouquet of mauve stock and asparagus fern. The bride’s grandmother v-n-e a dress of black silk, and black f; que.

A fter the ceremony, the bridal party were liberally besprinkled with confetti‘as they male their way from the church door to the waiting

cars. A large number of guest: were subsequently entertained at afternoon tea in the Town Hall sapperroom, where the usual toasts were honoured, and felicitous sp relies made.

At a later stage the guests inspected the handsome and. useful wedding presents, including several substantial cheques, at the residence of the bride’s parents.

The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a camera, and to the bridesmaid an ebony manicure set; the bride’s present to the bridegroom was a gold ribbon albert. The bride’s travelling costume was navy tailored, with black stitching and self buttons, with navy -georgette hat wreathed with tiny flowers and finished with gold ribbon. During the wedding ceremony Mrs Minifie presided at the organ. The beautiful flowers for decorative purposes were the gift of Mrs A. S. Easton.

Mr and Mrs Honore left by motor en route for the Hawke’s Bay district, where the honeymoon will he spent, after which they will take up their residence in Foxton. In common with the Foxton public, we join in wishing the happy couple health and happiness.
