THE TRAGEDY AT PIRAROA.

PAGE CHARGED WITH MURDER Thames, Feb. 9. The inquest touching the death of Gladys McGregor Hutchinson at Pipiroa on Tuesday was opened before the Coi-oner.

Arthur William Page, who has been charged with murder, was also present, and was represented by counsel.

The evidence of deceased’s husband was taken. He said he spoke to his wife after the incident. .She said she was going home and Page shot her because he did not want her lo go. Deceased left him last July, and had been living with Page. The inquest- was adjourned sine die on the application of the police.
