HOROWHENUA POWER BOARD.

RESULT OF RECOUNT. The election of three members of the Horowlienua Hydro-Electric Power Board, which took place at Levin on Wednesday, has not yet been concluded, as there is one small return to come in. The positions of Messrs G. A. Monk (who received 132 votes) and A. A. Brown (who polled y 5 votes) are assured. In the first count, Mr A. Seifert received 59 votes, W. G. Adkin 57 votes, and C. I. Harkness 59 votes, and as a result of the recount, which was conducted yesterday by the returning officer, Mr Goldsmith, Mr Seifert is now in the lead for third place by one vote.
