TOWN HALL LEASE

APPLICATIONS DEFERRED. A special meeting- of the Borough Council was held last night to consider applications for lease of the Town Hall for a period of ftvo years from March Ist next. There were present: The Mayor (Mr John Chrystall), and Crs. Bryant, Coley, Martin, Rand, Alex. Ross, A. N. Smith, Thompson, and Whibley. It was decided to go into committee to discuss the applications. After lengthy deliberation it was resolved, on the motion of Cr. Whibley, seconded by Cr. Bryant, that consideration of tenders for hire of Town Hall be deferred for one week. • 1 The report of the Town Hall Committee, with the exception of that portion dealing with municipal offices, was adopted.
