GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO VISIT FOXTON .

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28th

The Mayor received a communication last night from His Excellency the Governor-General’s Secretary, to the effect that His Excellency would visit Foxton on Monday, November 28th, and requesting the Mayor to arrange local details. His Excellency will arrive at 11.45 a.m., and depart at 1.30 p.m. for Rongotea.

The Mayor informs us that the details connected with the visit will be settled at Monday night’s Council meeting. The visit will be very brief, and will include a civic reception, luncheon, visit to the State School, and opening of All Saints’ Bazaar 1 . Lord Jellicoe, prior to arrivnig at Foxton, will visit Levin. After a short stay at Rongotea, His Excellency will motor through to Marton.
