ROYAL PICTURES.

Almost incessant scenes of laughter, judiciously flavoured with human sentiment, characterise Raymond/ latest Australasian production for Messrs E. J. and Dan Carroll's “Rudd’s New Selection,” which is to l»e screened at the Royal to-night. The homely humour of the quaint Imt true bush types created by Steele Rudd in this companion picture to “On Our Selection,” will appeal strongly to audiences to appreciate clean and wholesome fare. Set in delightful bush and mountain scenery, a love story has been written round Nell (Lottie Lyell), who has become the ideal of two brothers, one of whom meets with a tragic end, and almost brings disaster to two young lives. Tragedy, however, is not stressed in the Carroll production. Laughter is the keynote throughout. Prices, 2s and' Is, plus tax, children half-

price. Much interest attaches to the film version of H. A. Vachell’s “The Case of Lady Camber,” to be shown to-morrow evening. This powerful and .well-known play has a distinctive setting —an eminent physician’s nursing.home, and its strong climax in the death of an important patient, Lady Camber, and the suspicion that falls upon the nurse, Esther Yorke. The physician, Harley Napier, learns that the nurse has previously known Lord Camber, and his feelings of duty are not lightened by the realisation that he and the nurse love each other. A new and powerful narcotic plays an important part in the story. As an extra, “The Branded Four” will be shown.
