METHODIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
The annual meeting of teachers and officials of the school was held on Wednesday evening. The meeting was presided over'by the Rev. L. Minifie. Present: School Superintendent (Mr Huntley) and a representative number of teachers. The report for the year indicated that the number of children on the roll and the average attendance maintained the standard of the past two of three years. Financial position of the school was reported ■rood, with a credit balance to date of £9., a larger portion of which will be expended shortly in prizes. The school has paid £1 10s. towards missions and £2. towards debt reduction of the Church. Tf was reported that many of the scholars were exhibiting a greater interest, in their lesson work, and that many of the marks would be high for the year. It was decided to hold the Sunday School Anniversary either the last Sunday in November or the first Sunday in December. The children to be trained in specially selected hymns recently received from England. It was also decided to decorate the Church for the occasion with a series of festal The election of officers for the coming year was as follows£—Superintendent Mr G. Huntley, secretary Mrs Huntley, organists Misses Ilonore and Walker, librarian Master Hussey. The officials arranged for the Anniversary Concert and meeting to be held on the Wednesday night following the Anniversary Services. It u T as reported that the new Sunday School building would be completed shortly, a sand table and all modern improvements would be installed. The meeting closed with the Benediction.
