SIR GEORGE CLIFFORD’S

OPINION

Napier, Oct. 2. Sir George Clifford (president of the Racing Conference), in a letter to the president of the Napier Park Clul), states his intention of submitting to the Prime Minister Ins opinion regarding the Racing Commission’s report. Sir George Clifford is wholly in accord with the report in its main features, and considers any minor points on which hesitation is possible too trivial to lie allowed to sacrifice the substantial advantages of the report. . He requests that in order to add force to his representations the Napier Park Club should communicate expressing its accord with or disapproval of his opinion.

The president of the Napier Park Hub has replied: “We regret that on iccount of the injustice to Napici 'ark and several other matters, we

•annot agree with your opinion as to lie commission's report. Ihe re‘ommendation to abolish the Napier Park Club while continuing the issue if permits to small districts practically surrounded by courses has aroused the indignation of the whole nf this district.”
