PUTS TO SEA IN LAUNCH

Georges Broiokes, aged fourteen, employed on a farm on the Hauiaki Plain, disappeared last Wednesday. He apparently walked to Coromandel, where he hoarded a big launch, and put to sea. The engine was useless, so he hoisted a sail. The police were informed, and set out aftei the hoy, who was overtaken while sailing merrily towards Auckland, having nearly crossed the gull. He had eaten only a few biscuits in five days. ■' -
