“THE MYSTIC MIRROR.”
The Manawatu Daily Times of August 17th, writing of “The Mystic Mirror,” which is. to he staged at Foxton on the 23rd says : “The Mystic Mirror” is an'entertainment quite unique for Palmerston North. It is a fanciful opera, crowded with delightful music, captivating songs and original dances by talented principals and chorus. Every line of dialogue is clever, and the plot gripping, About ninety children, trained to perfection, play' the piece in quite a professional mapner, the vocal ability of the several entrusted with solos and duets being particularly fine. The characterisation throughout is realistic; the juvenile artists play their parts with the utmost ease and confidence, and the opera, a charming one, is made the most of. An efficient orchestra will accompany the opera.
