ASSAULT WITH INTENT.

TWO MEN CHARGED WITH SERIOUS CRIME.

Auckland, Aug. 15,

In the Police Court, William Knox and Marlin Gjerstad denied committing an assault with intent to rob. The complainant stated that he had been drinking with the accused, and when leaving 'the hotel in the evening he was knocked down.

The accused were committed to the Supreme Court for trial. Gjerstad was fined 10,s for failing to notify a change of address, he being an alien.
