MAORI COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.

Auckland, Aug. 15. At the Police Court a Maori named Ma'liini Taare admitted false pretences. The accused had £BB Is due from I lie Waikato-Maniapoto Maori Land Board, and, when drawing it, represented that he was also Eurera Taare (his brother), obtaining £2*2 L 5s Bd. He was committed to the' Supreme Court for sentence.
