To-night the Royal will slioav the famous actress, Elaine Hammerstein, in her great success, “Whispers,” a thrilling, gripping story of society’s ruthless scandalmongers. Mae Murray brings all her vivacity and charm to the. Royal fheatie on Friday, in “The A.B.C. of LoA T e, n picture that might be called a “dramatic romance.” In “The A.B. C. of Love” Miss Murray portrays the role of an orphan as innocent and ignorant ns she is beautiful. A playright marries her, and finds her adorable in her rustic country setting, but when he takes her to the city and compares her Avith the worldly Diana, the star of his plays, the little maid suffers by comparison. The story blends comedy and pathos, and also touches highly dramatic spots. The cast is a splendid one, Avith H. E. Herbert playing the husband, avlio is more human than heroic; Dorothy Green, most alluring as the actress, and Arthur Donaldson, a reliable friend in need.
