PRESENTATION
A pleasing ceremony took place at the local railway station after the arrival of the evening train on Thursday, when the combined staff's assembled for the purpose of making a presentation to Mr W. McDonald, stationmasfer, and to felicitate him on his recent wedding. Speeches were made by Messrs Hill (maintenance staff), Alsop (loco, department), and Dunn (second division). Mr Carter, of the clerical staff, asked the S.M. to accept a suitably inscribed biscuit barrel as a token of esteem. Tn acknowledging the good wishes and gift on behalf of Mrs McDonald and himself, the recipient referred to the happy relationship and hearty co-operation which existed in the local service, and thanked them for their good wishes.
