BOWLING.
The bowling season locally was brought to a close yesterday afternoon, when a match for the Nye Ferns was played. Considering the lateness of the season, the green played well. The game was fairly interesting throughout, and resulted in the' holders defeating the challengers by three points. The teams and scores were: — Spring John Ross
