LOCAL BODIES ELECTIONS.
Nominations closed at noon yesterday for the Mayoralty and Borough Council. MAYOR CHRYSTAL RE-ELECT-ED UNOPPOSED. There was only one nomination for the Mayoralty, that of Mr John C'hry,stall, who was therefore reeleeted unopposed. The Mayor was nominated by Crs. Geo. C. Coley and M. H. Walker. TWELVE - NOMINATIONS FOR THE COUNCIL. Twelve nominations were lodged for the nine seats on the Council, as under: — R. Bryant nominated by Messrs McColl; G. C. Coley, nominated by Messrs Hornblow, Ross and Chrystall; 11. Hamer, nominated by Messrs Thompson and Barnard; E. G. Martin, nominated by Messrs J. McColl and W. D. Bauekliaru; F. S. Moorhouse, nominated by Messrs Perre.au and Healey; E. Parkin, nominated by Messrs 11. Coley and Healey; C. Rand, nominated by Messrs Rowlatt and Aiteheson; Alex. Ross, nominated- by Messrs Chrystall and G. C. Coley; A. N. Smith, nominated by Messrs Perreau and Barr; R. J. Thompson, nominated by Messrs A. Barnard and 11. Hamer; M. 11. Walker, nominated by Messrs Parkin and Chrystall; F. D. Whiblev, nominated by Messrs McColl, Barr, Chrystall and Brvant, HARBOUR BOARD.
Messrs W. Bock (nominated by Messrs Chrystall, Hornblow, G. C. Coley and W. Nye), and John Chrystall (nominated by Messrs C. 11. Podmore, Jno. Ross, Hornblow;, G. C. Coley and Healey), were returned unopposed for the two vacancies on the Foxton Harbour Board.
