FOOTBALL.
There was a good attendance at the meeting of those interested in the formation of a senior team, held in the Town Hall supper-room last night, and in addition to those present a number of names of players willing to play was also handed in. From the support promised it is certain that a good senior team can bo got together, and it was decided to nominate senior, junior, and third class teams for the Horowhenua Union’s competitions. It "'as decided to hold a meeting of all players (senior, junior and third class), and all interested in the game, in the Town Hall supper-ro'oni on Thursday evening, at 7.30 o’clock, to make arrangements for the season’s play. Everyone interested in the game is cordially invited to he present.
The Horowhenua Rugby l uion s competitions will be commenced on Saturday week, the 30th inst. A mealing of the Management Committee of the Horowhenua Rugby Union will lit 1 held at Levin tonight, when the fixtures for the first round of the competitions will he drawn up.
