HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated sth instant, reads: — Manila market continues dull, and closed weak. Although J grade nominally quoted at £3B I.os for shipment, sales made yesterday. January-March shipment, £37; spot not quoted, because price depends upon quality. Output from Ist January to 28th February 120,000 bales, against 207,000 for same period last year. New Zealand market inactive. There would probably be buyers of high points alloat at £42 to £43. Fair neglected, with sellers of spot at £4O, but no interest shown.
