BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting its follows: —
During the month of January the sum of £2,371 10s Od was received and Ims been placed to the credit of accounts as under: District fund account £363 2s Gd, cemetery account £8 7s Gd, and W. and D. account £2,000. The ledger balances at the 31st January, 1921, were as follows: —Imprest cash £lO, fixed deposit £2,000, general £463 -0s Id, gas works £B3 18s 9d, hospital and charitable aid £l7 (is lid, reserves £ll7 ,10s Bd, interest £440 2s 9d, all at debit, a total of £2,132 8s sd. The accounts in credit were: Cemetery £94 11s Bd, library £l3l 0s sd, council chamber reconstruction £1,249 lGs lid, sanitation £214 6s Gd, Town Hall £202 14s sd, water and drainage loan £2.000; total, £3,892 9s lid.
