ALLEGED FORGERY AND UTTERING.

A man named John Edward Sullivan, of Shannon, was arrested by (he local police last night on a charge of forgery and uttering. At the local police court this morning, before Mr Hornblow, J.T •> the accused was charged with that, on (he 28th January, 1921, at Foxton, he forged and uttered a cheque for the sum of £lO drawn on the Bank of N.Z., Foxton, purported to be signed by Coley Bros., and uttered the same to R. H. Beveridge, licensee of the Post Office Hotel. Constable Owen asked for a remand until Saturday, as other charges were pending. The remand was granted.
