MUNICIPAL GAS WORKS

MANAGER'S REPORT,

The gas manager reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows:

Gas manufactured during December was 503,400 c. ft., an increase of 27,000 v. ft. over the corre--ponding period of last year. r l he percentage of gas unaccounted for ■,vns 0.2. During the month nine meters were changed, and these effected a saving of 0,400 c. ft., representing £5 Is 10d net. Ihe number of meters not registering this month totals 10. In moving the adoipiinii of the report the Mayor said after making allowance for extraordinary uork in extending mains and non-recur-ring expenditure,- the earnings showed a slight credit. The report was adopted.
