Fraser against sewerage pipes being taken through their private property. On behalf of Mr Alf. Fraser, Messrs Illness and Oakley, solicitors, of Palmerston N., intimated that <tlieir client would strenuously oppose any such proceedings is being unnecessary. “Mr Fraser thinks there is no reason why the drain should not be taken along the public road (as is usual), and he believes that the taking <>l the drain through his private property will do him a great deal of injury, and as to this the borough would, of course, be liable to pay compensation.”- The letter expressed the hope that the Council would lake the drain along the road, and thus save unnecessary expense to both parties. Mr G. Fraser wrote that he would not permit the laying of a drain through his property. ' H.
