MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED.

While motor cycling from Shannon (o Palmerston North on Tuesday, John Macgurk was thrown from the machine and killed. His wife, who was accompanying him, was uninjured.

The victim, Mr John Magurk, was a waterside worker, -13 years of age, and a resident of Wellington. Jn a statement made to the police, Mrs Magurk said that when turning a corner the cycle-skidded and (midsized, throwing the side-car and herself over the top of the machine. Her husband was Weeding freely from, a wound at the back of i,lie ear when she picked herself up jo investigate. He died almost immediately. father- Viaband, a Catholic priest at Otaki, who was following some distance in the rear, came on tiie scene and hastened to Palmerston North for medical aid, and the body was conveyed to Palmerston North.
