He- was brought to town by the police. The hoy si a fed (hat he received harsh treatment from his employer, Jophson, who kicked him and used foul ami threatening language. The Magistrate said lie was inclined to believe the lad's story, and accepted Captain Taylor's (Salvation Army) guarantee to pay the hoy’s care and hand him over to Ids parents. No conviction was recorded.
