JUMBLE SALE.
The Methodist Ladies’ Guild condueled a very successful jumble sale in the Masonic Hall yesterday afternoon and evening. There was a fair attendance of the public, and having was brisk. The following were Ihv stall-holders Sweets stall, Misses Chalk. Fvans and Scadden; fancy stall, Mrs Harding and Miss Henry; produce slab. Mesdames Kenuerly, Bullard and .Miss Bullard; refreshments, Mrs Bullard, Misses Signal, Hargreaves and Walker; bran tub, Misses Osborne (2); flowers, Misses Scadden and King.
During Ihe afternoon and evening musical items were contributed by Misses King and S pairs, elocutionary items by Miss D.Osborne (Palmerston N.) and Miss Belle Pearson, and a song by Mrs Bullard. The accompaniments were played by Miss Honore.
The competitions were won as follow*: —Nail driving (liaml-painled cushion). Mi - Oxley, nail driving, ladies (humpty-dumpty cushion), Miss Spoil's, and guessing competition (lamb's name) Aliss Evans, As a,result of the sale something over £4O was realised. s
