The .Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Conned meeting im follows; —
During the mouth of■ October the sum of 12,292 17s 7d was received, and has been placed lo the credit of accounts us under; District Land aecouni €2,288 .lift Id. eenietery account €1 7s (hi. The sum of €1,315 was received from the Slate Lire [imuranee Department, and lias been placed to the credit 01. a Council Chambers Heeonstrudion Account. which can be transferred to a future loan account for the rebuilding of (lie chambers. The balances of the various ledger accounts at the Bank of X.Z. at the 31sl October, 1920, were as follows; —Gas wtirks £279 Is Id, hospital and eharitabe aid £lB 2s 7d, cemetery .€99 8s Id, sanitation £222 5s Od, town hull £l6B 2s lOd, reconstruction £1,279 8s 9d, all in credit, a total of £2,Odd 8s lOd. The accounts at debit were: Imprest cash £lO, general £351 9s lOd, -library £35 9s lOd, reserves £l7O 19s 7d, and interest £IIG, total £OB3 18s sd. SUMMARY.
