SENSATIONAL MOTOR ACCIDENT.

Cambridge, 'day 17. A startling accident befell a party of motorists on Saturday evening. They left Te Awamutn ju.-l before dusk, and after travelling about five miles crashed into the sidle of a bridge at Hairini. The impact knocked the rails off the bridge and ■precipitated the occupants of the ear into the stream below. The ear itself came to a standstill, hanging perpendicularly on the edge of the bridge. The motorists scrambled put of the water. A lady in (he parly fractured one of her legs. The ear was recovered yesterday, being much damaged.
