s> The installation of Bro. W. Renton us W.M. of Lodge Te Awahou and investiture of his officers, took place in the local Masonic Bodge yesterday afternoon. R. Wor. Bro. J. A. Nash officiated as Installing .Master, and W. Bro. Hornblow as Director of Ceremonies. R. Wor. Bro. -1. A. Perrett, Prov. G.M., was in attendance, and assisted with the ceremony. Owing to sickness and the stormy weather, a number of visiting officers and brethren were unable to be present. Influenza also prevented several of the local officers from being invested. The following are the officers for the year. —W.M., Wor. Bro. AY. Renton; I. AVor. Bro. E. C. Cowley; S.AAk. Bro. .1. Barr; d.AV., Bro. A. E. AA'ainwright; Chaplain, Bro. Rev. Thos. Ha Hi day, Secretary. AVor, Bro. duo. Ross; treasurer. AV. Bro. M. Pcrrean; S.D., Bro. J. 11. Claris; J. Bro. R. MeMurray; LO.. Bro. j. MeColl; Tyler, AV. Bro. do Ridder; Organist, AV.' Bro. AV. E. Bullard; S.S., Bro. 0. Alexander; D.C., AA. Bro. Hornblow. At the close of the ceremony, the Prov. 0.M., on behalf of the Lodge, presented the retiring W.M,, Wor. Bro. Cowldy, with a handsome P.AI. jewel. In the evening the brethren entertained the visitors and ladies at a most enjoyable social. R. AA or. Bio. J: A. Nash officiated as M.C. Vocal and elocutionary items were interspersed with dancing. The catering arrangements were in the hands of the ladies, under the supervision of Airs Renton. The dance music was provided by Air East.
