The local junior team journeyed to Levin on Saturday, and played Levin Wanderers juniors, in the first round of the Banner matches. The game resulted in a win for Foxton by 14 points to six. Levin had the advantage of weight in their forwards, which wore slightly superior to the local vanguard, but the 'Foxton backs shewed more combination and pace than their opponents. Robinson and Thomson showed up most in the Foxton forwards, and the Foxton backs all played good games, despite the fact that ibis was (heir first game together. For Levin, Stickle (back) and Henderson, Snell and-Rose (forwards) were the most prominent. Tries wore scored for Foxton by Moses and Reid, both of which were converted by Taylor, and McPherson kicked a good goal from the field.
