PROPOSED POWER BOARD
Some two or three months ago the local Borough Council communicated with the adjoining local bodies on the question of the desirability of taking steps to form an Fleet ric Power Board in ibis district, to re-
tail power in bulk from the MangaInto scheme. At Monday night's meeting a reply was received from the Fiovowliciiua County- Council, advising that they were convening a conference of representatives from the Levin, Shannon and Foxton Boroughs, Otaki Town Board, and Manawatu, Horowhenua and flutt Counties, to he held in Levin on Saturday, April 24th, at 11 a.in., to go fully into this matter. They .asked tho Foxton Borough Council to appoint delegates, The Mayor and Crs. McMurray and Bryant were appointed.
