Seventy rinks look part in the Manawatu Bowling Centro's animal. Easter Tournament. The entries were divided into live sections, and each (cam played nine panics. At the conclusion of play on Monday night the following section winners and ties were still left in the competition: —Mason( Pahiatua), Scrivener (St. John’s), Beynon (Petone), and Laurenson (Manawatu), 8 Avins each, and Ramsay (Fannerston), Wylie (Newtown), Clark (Ilunterviilc), Laws (Victoria), Smith (Palmerston), Bissell (Pori Ahnriri), Duff (Eketalmna), and BartholomeAV (Codding), 7 Avins each. These teams played off in three sections on Tuesday, and at the close of play the following were still left in; Beynon, Laurenson, "Wylie, Scrivener, Duff, and Luavs. Play Avas continued yesterday, on the “sudden death” principle. Wylie 17 heat Laurenson 10, and Laws 14 beat Duff 13, The semi-finals, Beynon v. Wylie, and Scrivener A’. Luavs, Avere commenced just bet ore midday, hut Avere delayed after lunch by rain. At this time Scrivener was one up on Luavs, Avith four heads to play, and Wylie avus leading Beynon by four with eleven heads to play. Although it continued to rain heaAuly, Luavs and Scrivener decided to complete their game, Avith the result that Scrivener won by one point on the last head: 25 —14. Weather permitting, the Wvlie-Beynon match Avill he complied to-day, and the final between the Avinner and Scrivener Avill also be played.

The Fox ton rink which took part in the tournament, Eoore, M alker, Nye F. Whibley (s), played nine games, winning’ live and losing four. The following arc the teams and scores in the games in which they played, Foxlon’s score being given first in each case; — Fraser, O’Gormon, Pickering, Nicholson (Woodville), 23—18.
