OVERSEER'S REPORT. During Hie month of January the road stall' was engaged as under: — Top-dressing footpaths Main Street, carting metal and tilling ruts Avenue. Road and Purcell Street, and genera! maintenance work. As,soon as wo get suitable metal 1 intend to complete (he tarring of the road from top-of Main Street to the front, of the Town Hall. This will not take a great deal of, material, but' the road must be nlled-in sufficiently to throw the water into the channels. At present it is hollow in the centre. That portion of Clyde Street footpath facing the Royal Theatre also needs attention, and I think (here will , he ample tar for the work. ’ «
