The Poxton School. —We arc pleased to learn that the attendance at (he Poxton school lias greatly improved since the holidays, there being 155 on the roll, whilst the attendance has in several cases been nearly 150. Punanga.—The erection of the new runanga house at Mot inti is proceeding slowly. The Maoris arc not building'it very fast, hut they a.re doing it well. Time is no object with the noble savage. The roof and decorations are mainly completed, and the greater par! of the carving is done. When finished this house will he one of the best of its kind in the colony. It is expected I'hat it will he completed in about six Weeks’ time, when it will he opened with a great feast and korero, at which a large number of Natives arc expected to he present. IVc intend to give a full description of the building when it is finished.
