MAN RUNS AMOC IN DUNEDIN.

Dunedin, Jim. 13. A man named Leonard George Robertson', who appeared to be suffering from the effects of excessive drinking, took charge of his "mother’s shop'at S 3, Bay View Road, this evening, and emphasised his threat by a demonstration with a rifle. His mother took to the street in alarm, and Robertson proceeded to take charge of the street by means of-his rifle. Constable Milne mime on the scene, and in spite of repeated threats from Robertson, who. promised sudden death to all and sundry, dashed in and got hold of the rifle. A violent struggle ensued, in the course of which Robertson’s' arm was broken. It subsequently lurried out that the rifle which played so prominent a part was unloaded.
